At this time I must finally tell of my discust! I have done over 7 family trees of my own personal family, two of my wifes family and I have assisted in helping over 30 other friends do there family tree in the past year. Out of all the people that I have personally contacted which now lists in well over 400 families that in most cases I didn't know from Adam or Eve. No one, I mean not one person ever refused one question or taking there time in order to help me put together family roots! Not one person ever refused to even give me another persons telephone number, even when I was not a relative or a member of the family!

Finally, a relative refused to give me a telephone number and personally told me he/she does not know nothing! First of all the individual had no clue what I was going to ask and secondly I had his/her telephone number before and had even called this individual on the phone before. I wasn't shocked because this is how this person is. He/she knows everything and must be the controling person in everything. Most everyone knows what I do for a living and knows that I am a Criminal Investigator and obviously should know that there is not too much that I can find out as that is what I get paid for doing! I told that person: "You know what I do for a living, never mind ____ I will find it myself." The individual responded as of course he knows everything: "You can't as he/she is a _____________".

Well I did find what I was looking for it took me a grand total and I timed it, a total of 2 minutes and 15 seconds! Not only did I find out this persons telephone number but I found out a lot more than of course what I wanted or even needed to know! I'm not going to mention as I am a person of integrity!

All this person had to do was to tell me: "Dean I'm sorry but I don't give out other peoples telephone numbers but If you would like to speak to _____, I will call him/her and let him/her know that you want to speak to him/her and give your telephone number if that would be ok with you!" Not only is that the right thing to do, but this is exactly what should have happenned. I do this all the time. However, I never in my life when someone contacted me to try to contact someone else told them what the person knew or don't know! When it comes to family I have never refused another family member another families telephone number and if I knew the person didn't want his number given out, I would have surely told the family member. I'm sorry but I cannot give out the telephone number but I will immediately call him/her and let them know that you want to talk to them and I will give him/her your telephone number. One thing that I have never did when some has called me to talk to someone else is then ask the person: "What do you want to talk to him/her about". This person however has to know everything about what is going on about everyone! The only thing I might say is if I don't know the person and if I'm not going to give the person a telephone number is ask: "May I tell _____ what you may want to discuss". So the person then can make a decision whether or not to call the person back! But it is none of my business what is or what is not going to be discussed!

What is my point in telling this story? It is very simple. In this day and age with the Internet there is not much that cannot be found out about anyone! You don't have to be a criminal investigator, you don't have to be in the legal profession or a rocket scientist to find out information on the Internet. All one has to have is a very inquisitive mind and have an idea of where and how to search! Its not difficult! Most high school students, forget about high school students most kids in Junior High can find out most anything they want on the Internet!

Next this hot shot is going to tell people it is illegal to find out information about someone. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL and it is done every day! Its done by Insurance Companies, Merchants of all kinds, Credit Card Companies, Banks, and even most employers now days has someone do individual searches, credit checks and even back ground searches of one kind or another! Now what a person does with the information found may or may not be legal! There are thousands of people on and off the Internet who make a big buck living on selling individual information to others. Most state agencies sell the same information to big corporations on a daily basis. For example, most state motor vehicle departments sell the information they have on individuals who have a drivers license to big business.

If a simple phone call was made and if I would have talked to this person, I'm sure that he/she would have told me the information I was looking for and it would have been the End of the Story! BING BANG DONE AND FINISHED! If the person would have been polite and just told me I don't know anything my parents never talked about it or whatever, it would have been BING BANG DONE AND FINISHED! I know this person because he/she has always been a very polite person would have just said I'm sorry I don't want to give out any personal information as I've done with hundreds of other people, I would have respected his/her wishes and again, BING BANG DONE AND FINISHED! However, when I get a person who is a real pain and thinks he/she is going to control me or the situation then to be quite frank, to hell with them as in this situation!

However, since the person was in my opinion a real ass wipe to be mildly and always knows everything. I said enough is enough I will do it from the Interent and get the number my self! However, not only did I get the telephone number on my first search be cause I do have a half of a brain and this is what I do do for a living. I found much much more and I have shown this to another relative to tell his releative when he sees this person to tell the individual all that I have found! At this point I really don't care and could care less what he/she thinks! He/she has my telephone number and knows where I live and if he/she has a problem well DO WHAT YOU WANT OR GOTTA DO! However, if you want to be an ass wipe do it with someone else because I won't put up with your childish behavior or antics anymore PERIOD!

As I am a Criminal Investigator and work on the defense side and not the prosecutions side I get enemies on both sides of the road. As it is my job to find the garbage not only on the client but co-defendant(s) as well as the law enforcement officers as well! I work in all the bad neighborhood of not just New York City but the surrounding area as well. I work in neighborhoods that most police officers wouldn't even go in if they couldn't carry there guns! The day that I'm so scared of having someone give out my telephone number especially to a relative, you can bet I will quit my job in a heart beat!

As I can be a real ass wipe as well, and as most people who know me very well knows that I can really be one S.O.B. when I want to or when I get pissed! I'm putting this up on the Internet because I know someone that will be telling this person that I have put his/her stupidity on the Internet on the De Simone family Web page for others to see! One family member who knows this person could not believe his/her actions and told me he owes you an apology! I don't want an apology because I have very limited dealings with this person anyway! I just had it with his/her attitude and it is time that this person realizes that some people will not take his/her B.S. and I'm finished with it and the next time no matter where the B.S. flies I will not let it go into one ear and out the other!
